Case studies

Oxford Learner’s Dictionaries

Full redesign of one of Oxford University Press’s most visited websites, serving millions of language learners a year.

Resulting in a 25% increase in users, 30% increase in sessions, and 40% increase in page views compared to the previous year.

Online Play Games

I worked on the development of games for English language learners made in Phaser which were delivered across numerous international primary courses.

The project also required me to create an in-engine debugging tool to make the in-house QA process more accurate and efficient.

Oxford Test of English

The only English language proficiency test certified by Oxford University. Available in approved test centres worldwide and finalist for ‘Best in summative assessment’ at the 2020 e-Assessment Awards.

The adaptive test can be taken in a much shorter time than a conventional proficiency test, at 2 hours for the test itself with students receiving their results within 2 weeks.

OALD 10th Edition App

The Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary (OALD) 10th edition is the world’s bestselling advanced-level dictionary for learners of English, in app form.

The project was to redesign the interface to tackle development and maintenance issues and to address user complaints and requests relating to previous editions of the app.

The brand-new app, and new design system guide (to be used in future dictionary apps) was delivered across Android and iOS mobile and tablet devices.
